Build a five-question Google Form with an AI browser agent: Gemini handed it back, Claude finished it (partial)

How we verify

Evidence: Described by posterThe person describes what happened in words, without screenshots or video.

PartialThe source says it only partly worked, or had a significant problem a person had to deal with.

What went wrong: The first agent gave up partway; a second agent finished the form.

Outcome

Irena Palamani Xhurxhi asked Gemini to build a Google Form. It got partway, then stopped and asked Xhurxhi to take over because it couldn't change the question type in the interface. Xhurxhi gave the same task to Claude in the browser and went back to other work; when they returned, the form was done, with all five questions, correct types, descriptions and required fields. Asked about it, Claude said it had struggled with the same parts, trying clicks, JavaScript workarounds and keyboard navigation, but kept going rather than handing it back.

Prompt Recreated prompt

The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote this from what it describes.

Run this task now, exactly as written below. Everything you need is here, so start straight away and only stop if something required is missing or a rule below tells you to.

Goal: Build an online form from my list of questions, with the right question types and settings.

Fill in before running:
- The form's purpose and title: [DETAILS]
- My questions, with the answer type and whether each is required: [QUESTIONS]
- Which account to create it in: [ACCOUNT]

Rules:
- Create every question with the type I asked for, plus any description.
- Mark required questions as required.
- If something in the interface won't work, try another way before handing it back, and tell me what you tried.
- Don't share or send the form; give me the edit link to check first.
- If a site asks me to sign in, pause and let me do it myself (including any CAPTCHA or two-step code); never guess or store passwords.
- Check facts that can change (prices, opening hours, dates, availability, rules) against the official source, and tell me anything you couldn't verify.

Output: The finished form's edit and preview links, and a list of any settings you couldn't apply.

You'll know it worked when: the form is ready to send without me fixing anything.

Try this in:

This prompt has blanks to fill in, like [DETAILS]. We'll copy it instead of filling it in, so you can edit it before you send.

Opens in a new tab. We don't see what you send.

These links are only a shortcut. We're not affiliated with OpenAI, Google or xAI, and your results may not match the source.

Before you finish: re-read my goal and constraints, check your answer against each one, and list anything you assumed or couldn't confirm.

With no laptop, Ortac opened Claude on their phone in a roller coaster queue, attached the last invoice and asked it to recreate it. Claude wrote and ran a Python script that produced a replica of the PDF, then changed the invoice number, billing period and costs as asked. Ortac drafted the email, attached the new invoice and sent it in roughly 20 minutes, right before boarding.
