Outcome
Asked to buy back-to-school shoes for their kid and a microphone for school, Vekay handed both to Grok Bot. It found a previous size 6 Hoka purchase in their email, opened shoes on the Hoka site and added the chosen pair to the cart. For the microphone (the post later calls it headphones) it checked the school website for requirements and added a couple of options to the Amazon cart; Vekay removed one and checked out. Vekay says what usually takes 30 minutes took 5, while watching TV.

Prompt Recreated prompt
The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote this from what it describes.
Run this task now, exactly as written below. Everything you need is here, so start straight away and only stop if something required is missing or a rule below tells you to. Goal: Get these back-to-school items into my carts so I only have to check out. Fill in before running: - What I need to buy: [LIST] - Child's name or grade, so you can find the school's requirements: [DETAILS] - Stores I use: [STORES] Rules: - Check my past order emails for sizes and brands we've bought before. - Check the school's website or supply list for any required specs. - Add one or two good options per item to the cart and tell me why. - Stop before checkout. - If a site asks me to sign in, pause and let me do it myself (including any CAPTCHA or two-step code); never guess or store passwords. - Ask for my OK before you pay, book, send, submit or cancel anything. - Check facts that can change (prices, opening hours, dates, availability, rules) against the official source, and tell me anything you couldn't verify. Output: A short summary per item (what's in the cart, size or spec, price) and links to each cart. You'll know it worked when: everything on the list is in a cart that matches the right size and the school's requirements.

3 blanks are still empty: What I need to buy; Child's name or grade, so you can find the school's requirements; Stores I use. They'll stay in brackets in your prompt, so the chat tool may ask you about them.
What you type stays in this browser tab. We don't send it or save it, and it's gone when you leave the page. If you use a "Try this in" button, your answers go to that tool as part of the prompt.

This prompt has blanks to fill in, like [LIST]. We'll copy it instead of filling it in, so you can edit it before you send.

Tom's Guide's Amanda Caswell gave ChatGPT, Gemini and Alexa+ the same school supply list: follow it, stick to required quantities, pick reasonably priced items and skip optional ones. Gemini built an Instacart cart, skipped optional items, asked her to approve colours and totalled about $60-$90 ($105 with the optional water bottle). ChatGPT, on her Walmart account, followed the list carefully but slowly for $92.55; Alexa+ added the optional items and reached $251.48.

- Find out which astrophotography gear you actually need before spending a budget, with ClaudeRecreated promptEvidence: Described by posterBeginner-friendly
tonyarkles was curious about astrophotography and had a budget to fill any gaps in their existing photography kit. Claude's conclusion was to get a $20 intervalometer and a battery adapter that runs off the wall: the lenses and tripod they already had were fine. It also pointed out that Jupiter and Venus were near conjunction, so a dark spot facing west would give a good timelapse that weekend, and later gave rough guidelines for a partial lunar eclipse that produced some amazing photos. tonyarkles now plans to spend the budget on a proper mount, but only after confirming they enjoy the hobby.
