Outcome
A small plastic tab broke on Michal Barodkin's Philips shaver after several years. Rather than replace the shaver, they sent ChatGPT a photo of the broken piece and described the problem in a voice message. It found the replacement part, with its Philips part number and a place to order it. It cost six dollars and they picked it up the next day.

Prompt Recreated prompt
The source didn't share its exact prompt, so we wrote this from what it describes.
Run this task now, exactly as written below. Everything you need is here, so start straight away and only stop if something required is missing or a rule below tells you to. Goal: Find the exact spare part I need to fix something instead of replacing it. Fill in before running: - Photo of the broken part and of the model label: [PHOTO] - Brand and model, if I know it: [MODEL] - Where I live, to find a seller: [LOCATION] Rules: - Identify the part and give the manufacturer's part number, and say how sure you are. - Check the part fits my exact model on the manufacturer's or seller's page. - Give two places to buy it, with price and delivery time, preferring the official spare-parts store. - Tell me if it's not worth repairing. - Ask for my OK before you pay, book, send, submit or cancel anything. - Check facts that can change (prices, opening hours, dates, availability, rules) against the official source, and tell me anything you couldn't verify. Output: Part name and number, a fit check link and where to buy it. You'll know it worked when: The right part arrives and the device works again.

2 blanks are still empty: Brand and model, if I know it; Where I live, to find a seller. They'll stay in brackets in your prompt, so the chat tool may ask you about them.
What you type stays in this browser tab. We don't send it or save it, and it's gone when you leave the page. If you use a "Try this in" button, your answers go to that tool as part of the prompt.

This prompt has blanks to fill in, like [PHOTO]. We'll copy it instead of filling it in, so you can edit it before you send.

A hired contractor couldn't work out how to remove the poster's grandparents' 1980s dishwasher, which was attached at the top. - Hunt for a $400 mixed-metal bracelet on Etsy with ChatGPT Instant Checkout and end with an empty cart (failure)Evidence: Article or interviewFailureBeginner-friendly
Business Insider's Jordan Hart tried ChatGPT's new Instant Checkout to find their mom a birthday bracelet in sterling silver and gold, with a $400 budget, starting on Etsy. ChatGPT listed seven Etsy options, but with links rather than a buy button, and one was a $2,400 cuff. Asked to show only items it could sell in the chat, it said it couldn't reliably tell from the product data which were eligible, and Skims and Glossier weren't live yet either. Searching other retailers, it found bracelets from brands such as Kendra Scott and Mejuri that fit the brief, though it had to be asked again for direct links. They didn't love any of them and ended with an empty cart.

- Fix a dead freezer with a £10 wire after Grok's voice-and-camera mode found a known faultRecreated promptEvidence: Described by posterBeginner-friendly
When a freezer stopped working, Marc Landers gave Grok the make, model and problem. Grok had them turn on voice and camera mode, open the door, remove the top hinge cover (no tools needed) and point the camera at a wire it said was a known fault for that model. Grok gave the price and an Amazon link for the part; the £10 wire arrived next day and took five minutes to replace, instead of paying a repair technician.
